Preventing absenteeism at the workplace : a European portfolio of case studies / by R.W.M. Gründemann, C.V. van Vuuren

This publication presents and assesses 23 initiatives to reduce workplace absenteeism associated with ill-health. The experiences of workplace in eight countries are drawn upon to provide detailed description of methods and analysis of results. The systematic structure of the case studies is intended to support the development and implementation of more effective measures. The portofolio demonstrates different aspects of effective practice to reduce absenteeism associated with ill-health. The lessons from these initiatives should be usefull to all who want to implement workplace action to reduce ill-health and its consequences.
