Summary: The aim of this paper is to present an up to date version of the Department of Trade and Industry's monitoring and evaluation programme for employment relations. The main result of monitoring and evaluation activities related to policies which have had some time to 'bed down' are included in the horizontal and vertical annexes of the paper, as well as 'baseline results', which will be used as a benchmark for future monitoring and evaluation activity of policies recently or about to introduced. Finally, this paper will give an overall initial assessment of how satisfactory the monitoring and evaluation has been, highlighting strengths and pointing to potential weaknesses or gaps, as well as drawing attention to certain elements that may require further consideration.
