Communicating equality and non - discrimination in the European Union / European Commission

In this context, we hope the Belfast Conference will provide an opportunity for all involved to share their experience and knowledge on communicating on anti-discrimination and to explore the concept of raising awareness from a number of angles. The Conference follows on from the success of the 2007 European Year of Equal Opportunities for all and is an opportunity to high-light further some of the great initiatives that were undertaken during the year. It also provides a forum for disussion on how best to convey messages of equality and diversity by providing training session on a number of communication topics. We hope that the conference is both insighful and rewarding for all, facilitating the continuation of the valuable and highly commendable work being carried out in all Member State of the European Union in the fight against discrimination and the promotion of equality.
